The PCC compiled a list of international anti-doping conferences in 2020, but obviously, many conferences have made updates to their plans because of COVID-19. Below is the most up-to-date information on these events as of May 1, 2020.

Events are in chronological order

  • May 31st-June 4th— 68th ASMS Conference on Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics (Houston)
    • Join us in Houston, TX for the annual conference. Learn about the incredible speakers lined up for plenary lectures and tutorials. We know you will discover the George R. Brown Convention Center to be an ideal location for the meeting. All session rooms on a single level (and it’s not too long!) with posters and exhibits easily accessible below on the ground level. Just outside the front doors of the convention center, you can enjoy Discovery Green park.

  • September 28th-29th—NSF International Exercise & Sport Science Initiative Symposium (Ann Arbor)
    • Join us on September 28th & 29th, 2020 for an exciting, collaborative summit hosted by NSF International and the University of Michigan Exercise & Sport Science Initiative. This two-day event will take place in Ann Arbor, Michigan at NSF International Headquarters and the University of Michigan. Participation in the Exercise & Sport Science Initiative Symposium is an opportunity for you to share your voice and collaborate with other experts in global sports and anti-doping.  The Summit includes:
      • Presentations on the latest in athlete health and the clean sport movement
      • Networking and collaboration
      • Lab facilities tour of NSF International
      • Tour of the University of Michigan Athletic campus
      • And more!
    • UPDATE: Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the decision was made to cancel the upcoming symposium in September. The hope is to either postpone this event to the winter semester of 2021 or hold it in the fall of 2021 instead. 
  • October 5th-6thSports Medicine 2020 Physical Education, Sports Medicine, and Doping Studies Conference– (Auckland)
    •  Sports Medicine and Doping Studies consider articles on all areas of the subject including exercise and health, general sports physiology, neuromuscular physiology, biomechanics, joint and muscular injury and their respective therapeutics, related surgical issues, doping substances and their social aspects, etc. Sports medicine, clinical sports medicine, sports doping, sports biomechanics, sports physiotherapy, sports orthopedics, sports injury, rehabilitation, pain mechanisms, sports podiatry, physical activity, sports health, sports biomechanics, exercise physiology, sports nutrition

  • October 13th – 14th — WADA Global Education Conference (Sydney)
    • NO UPDATE at this time. 
  • October 31st– November 5th— TIAFT 58th Annual Meeting (Cape Town)
    • 58th Annual Meeting of the International Association of Forensic Toxicologists. In nearly 60 years of TIAFT’s existence, there has never been an international meeting on African soil – until now! Come and join us at the southern tip of our continent from31st October till 05th November 2020 for the 58th edition of this annual conference, which will be held at The Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).
    • Cape Town 2020 #TIAFT annual meeting has been postponed one year to October 2021.
